TripPaw is a service operated by TYRANNO 2 LIMITED ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England & Wales under company number 15461773, whose registered office is at 45 Stanway Gardens, Edgware, England, HA8 9LN, and which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: email address and password when you create an account, trip preferences and itinerary data when you use the service, and display name and avatar if you set them in your profile.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and improve the TripPaw service, generate personalised trip itineraries using AI, sync your trips across devices, enable collaborative trip editing with people you invite, and send essential account-related emails.
AI Processing
When you create a trip, your preferences (destination, dates, interests, budget) are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate your itinerary. We do not send your email address or account details to the AI. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database hosting and authentication), Anthropic (AI trip generation), Google Maps Platform (maps, places, and geocoding), Vercel (web hosting), and Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on authentication forms; see Cloudflare's privacy policy at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/). Each service has its own privacy policy. Location data from your trips is sent to Google Maps Platform for geocoding, directions, and place details.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. We use row-level security (RLS) to ensure your trips are only accessible to you and people you explicitly share them with. We retain your account and trip data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account from Settings immediately removes your account and trip data; deletion requests made by email are completed within 30 days. To make trip generation faster, the inputs you provide for a trip request (such as destination, dates, and preferences) may also be stored in a shared cache that is not linked to any account; because these entries carry no account identifier, they are not removed when you delete your account.
Your Rights
You have the right to: access your data by viewing your trips and profile, correct your data by editing your profile settings, delete your data, and export your data. You can delete your account and all associated data instantly from Settings, and download a copy of the personal data you provided (your account details, trip inputs, bookings, and recent chat messages) from Settings at any time. You can also email [email protected] and we will process your request within 30 days.
Cookies
TripPaw uses essential cookies for authentication and session management only. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Analytics, if enabled, are cookie-free.
Children's Privacy
TripPaw is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
